Since its establishment in 1873, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) has been devoted to foreign studies, covering 81 languages.  International students of TUFS will be joined by classmates studying their home languages and regions, making it a true global campus beyond English.  Located in a quiet residential area in the western part of Tokyo, TUFS provides an excellent academic environment for international students.  Start your exploration with one of the English (or English/Japanese) taught degree programs at TUFS.  Discover Japan comprehensively through the School of Japan Studies (undergraduate).  Or explore the world through a multidisciplinary approach and formulate effective responses to issues of peace and conflict at the Master’s program on Peace and Conflict Studies.  Or make substantial contributions to international development including SDGs at the Joint Doctoral Program for Sustainability Research.
